Zithulele, Wild Coast 30 September 2025

AgriVision Foundation (NPC) visited Zithulele on the Wild Coast on 30 and 31 September 2025, to support small-scale farmers in starting up and scaling their operations for improved success rates. Building on connections established in July 2025 with Every Nation Church Zithulele and Siyamba Sonke, an NGO focused on mentorship for young adults, discussions centered on collaborative community projects to empower local farmers. Every Nation Zithulele commits to weekly assistance in enhancing farming methods, providing opportunities to connect with community members and build meaningful relationships through shared service. AgriVision Foundation supports these efforts with expert consultation and essential resources, including seeds donated by Enza Zaden in Stellenbosch for training purposes and to support the farmers in starting their farming. During the visit, farmers were trained in growing their own seedlings, a practical technique to boost crop success and reduce dependency on external supplies. This hands-on education equips participants with sustainable skills, fostering self-reliance and resilience in a region where food insecurity remains a challenge. Strong relationships have been forged with local stakeholders, creating a network of trust and optimism for ongoing impact. Our vision is to cultivate a thriving community of small farmers, enabling them to farm successfully and enhance household food security. AgriVision Foundation remains dedicated to this partnership, with plans for regular follow-up sessions to monitor progress and expand training. This initiative embodies our mission to promote leadership, entrepreneurship, and Christian values through agriculture, driving lasting transformation and hope in Zithulele’s rural landscape.
