Kwazakele, Port Elizabeth, 6 July 2025
Agri Vision Foundation (NPC) journeyed to Every Nation Kwazakele on 5 July 2025 to conduct hands-on training in seedling cultivation and garden maintenance, empowering community members to foster sustainable food sources. The enthusiastic attendees included a dedicated group of ladies deeply active in the church and well-connected within the community, alongside young men who assist daily at the church, all committed to collaborative growth. The training aimed at equipping these individuals involved to work together in producing their own seedlings and tending the garden, directly supporting the church’s newly launched pre-school, which provides daily lunches to children. By supplying fresh vegetables from the garden, the initiative addresses food security while nurturing young lives. The session began with practical instruction on growing strong seedlings, followed by guidance on using Laeveld Agrochem seed packs and preparing garden beds step by step, where participants quickly embraced ownership with energy and confidence. Additionally, they learned to plant cover crops on unused land to enhance soil health, with seeds generously provided by Barenbrug. The day ended on a high note, with the group feeling excited and empowered, and a WhatsApp group established for ongoing support and encouragement. Agri Vision Foundation remains steadfast in partnering with Every Nation Kwazakele, offering continued mentorship and resources to ensure the garden thrives as a beacon of hope. This effort reflects our mission to cultivate leadership, entrepreneurship, and Christian values through agriculture, inspiring lasting community transformation and self-reliance in Kwazakele.
