Agri Vision Foundation (NPC) partnered with Bridges of Hope for an outreach initiative in Philippi, Cape Flats, focusing on empowering vulnerable children through agricultural education. On December 7, 2024, representatives from Agri Vision Foundation facilitated a day of practical training for 57 children aged 7 to 13 years, many of whom are orphans or living in places of safety.

The training sessions introduced the children to sustainable gardening practices and the basics of growing seedlings. Together with volunteers and mentors, a small vegetable garden was established on-site to serve as a foundation for future initiatives. This collaboration marked an important step toward addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable community development in Philippi.          Land has also been earmarked to start a bigger vegetable garden to supply the food kitchen.

Over the coming months, Agri Vision Foundation will work alongside Bridges of Hope to mentor the community, aiming to establish a self-sustaining vegetable garden that reduces reliance on purchased produce. This aligns with our mission to promote leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability through agriculture while remaining firmly rooted in Christian values. Every Nation Stellenbosch has also helped to plant a Church on the grounds and is supporting this initiative on a continuous basis.

Agri Vision Foundation is committed to ongoing collaboration with Bridges of Hope, ensuring the sustainability of this project and supporting the community in their journey toward long-term transformation.
